Overview
iHeart Radio Living Black is a complete celebration of all things Black! From the streets to the kitchen, Living Black tells the stories that make the black experience so rich and meaningful. The event features performances by today's hottest artists and influencers curating conversations that highlight different aspects of black culture; this hour-long special is the ultimate celebration of Living Black.
Our Approach
We started this project with a great mood board that would help us set the tone for the branding moving forward. The question was, how can we show the many aspects of the black experience through visuals?

The solution started with the logo. The weight shift on the logotype plays with the idea of a diverse unit, this design decision helps us communicate at a glance the richness of black culture. First, we wanted some general texturing to reflect a lo-fi velvety feel. On top of that, we used a range of high-end materials to represent the different layers of Living Black. We also used a torn paper technique as a vehicle to reveal these different textures or aspects of the experience throughout the kit.
